Well, we are officially living on the surface of the sun. Penny and I are stretched out under the fan surrounded by our body weight in water bottles and flourless peanut butter cookie crumbs watching Gilmore Girls from the beginning again. It’s the perfect time to reflect on the last week and all that there was to be grateful for. Here’s my Nourished Life Gratitude List 2016 – Week Forty-Five. This week our book club had its first meeting. We read Wuthering Heights for our first book, and while I wasn’t the biggest fan the discussion with the other ladies was enlightening and helped me to understand the book from other points of view. We also ate roasted veggies, salad, cheese, and cookies and popped a bottle of champagne. I was grateful for an evening of interesting conversation, delightful company and that our first book club night was a hit!
On Monday night we celebrated Halloween at Mum and Dad’s place. Dad puts so much effort into his decorations every year. This year there was the amazing witch you see above; his usual coffin, haunted pumpkin, and hanging skulls as well as a ghoul on a zipline and Halloween movies showing in the background. I am grateful for the way Dad has embraced Halloween because he knows that I love it so much – even though I’m all grown up (well, mostly…) he still puts so much effort into creating magical moments for me.
I had to have an MRI this week. (Nothing serious peeps.) They are not pleasant things but I was grateful for the kind, caring staff at the clinic I went to and that Chris came and picked me up when I told him I wasn’t feeling well after my procedure.
On Saturday morning I enjoyed a great personal training session with Julie, and then Mum, Chris and I headed out to see “Doctor Strange”. It was amazing! I was grateful for a brilliant start to the day. Apart from that little outing I have been soaking up time with Penny. She keeps me company no matter what I’m up to. I do love my little shadow.
Jess and Trent came home from America on Thursday! They had a wonderful holiday and had some amazing adventures. I am grateful they had a wonderful time, but I am so glad they are home safely – I missed my little sister!
That’s all for this week folks. Tell me, what are you grateful for this week?
